A little about the history and future

This is the first post in the booksyouveread.com 's blog! The site itself exists since February 2009. Its first version allowed to create an account and add books from the existing database into the list, thus visualising one's reading habits.

Current update brings the new features such as: posting comments, viewing more statistics, slightly refreshed layout and (last but not the least) this blog.

Still there's a lot to be done, the overall look and usability needs to be improved; there's also place for new functionality, such as quotes or wishlist. Or maybe something different? If you have any suggestions regarding improvements on booksyouveread.com , please include them in your comments.

Have fun using the new version of the site!

Authors palette is too small, i can't see full name of author. List of the book in authors menu is chaotic, and request more options. In profile, request more sort options, like authors etc. I like this web, even if still is lot to do here. Keep up good work.

Ps. Sorry for my English:)

I enjoy visitting the site a lot, although my suggestions are related rather to other readers than the author-what I mean is, that the site would be much more useful if we, the users and the readers, add some book description and our personal opinions about it. It happened to me a few times, that some book titles interested me a lot but I was forced to look it up somewhere else in the web. So I appeal to the readers-please write a few words about a book you enjoyed,it will be very useful, for us,the bookworms!

I think that it would be good to make something about translations. User would check if the books is translated and would choose or enter original title. Translations make some chaos here, sitting among original titles, so may that idea would be useful.

I must say I LOVE the site. For some reason I get anxiety about remembering what I've read, didn't finish or otherwise.

Just some helpful suggestions:
1. The activation email went to my junk-mail. I don't know if there's a way to fix this, or if you could give a warning or something. I almost got very angry because I wanted to use this site really badly.
2. I would love for there to be a "wishlist" category, or something along those lines. I'm always getting book suggestions, but I don't remember them because I'm already reading a book.
3. this really isn't a suggestion, but moreso a compliment. I love how easily you make it to add books to your database. I feel like most sites would make each suggestion be reviewed and wouldn't update, etc.

The site is such a great idea. I thought of a site of this nature one day and just assumed it would be a common site, but this is the only one I could find. While there are improvements to be made, I think you've done a great job.
Thank you! And Congratulations on such a great site!
